On behalf of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting our 7th Annual Drive for Diabetes Golf Tournament.  Your participation has once again made this event a HUGE success.

It’s gratifying to know that the money raised from this event goes toward such worthwhile causes such as that of Cameron Folts, who shared his story of being a teenager with diabetes and the challenges it brings; and that of Nick Caplanson, Co-Chair of the American Diabetes Association’s “Step Out” event and a Type 1 Diabetic, who shared personal experiences in dealing with and helping find a cure for Diabetes.

We would also like to thank Dr. Patricia Sebastian, Clinical Physician and Medial Director of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s Tribal Health Services for sharing statistics and information on diabetes within tribal communities and the various ways that this disease can be managed and, in some cases, prevented.

Again, thank you for making this event such a success and for your generous support in helping in the fight against Diabetes.

Sincerely,

Co-chairs

Rodney Butler

Richard E. Sebastian
